Educational Requirements

• Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in telecom transport/network engineering (depending on level).

• Certifications (Preferred): CCNA/CCNP, JNCIS/JNCIP, HCIA/HCIP, or other vendor-specific certifications.

Core Responsibilities

• Design & Maintenance: Design, deploy, and maintain transport networks (DWDM, SDH, IP/MPLS, microwave, fiber).

• Monitoring: Monitor network performance and conduct audits, health checks, and capacity planning.

• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot faults, perform root-cause analysis, and improve network resilience.

• Upgrades: Plan and execute network upgrades, expansions, and modernization activities.

• Coordination: Coordinate with Planning, Vendors, NOC, Field Teams, and Regulatory on implementation and interference issues.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate network designs, documentation, and operational procedures while supporting integration with mobile and fixed networks.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA) skills.
