Job Profile: Treasury Sales & FX Specialist

Core Objective

To drive business turnover and profitability by marketing FX products (Spot, Forward, Options) to SME, Corporate, and Retail clients. The role focuses on relationship management, market analysis, and ensuring compliance with statutory currency limits.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Strategy

  • Market Expansion: Support the marketing of Spot, Forward, and FX Options to SME and Corporate clients to increase turnover.

  • Customer Penetration: Develop a loyal core base of Corporate and Retail customers through proactive relationship building.

  • Cross-Selling: Collaborate with other bank units to drive FX referrals through specialized campaigns, training, and incentive structures.

  • Product Innovation: Provide input for the development of tailor-made products specifically for the Corporate and Retail segments.

Performance & Market Intelligence

  • Market Monitoring: Keep track of competitor tactical mapping, market developments, and product initiatives from key market players.

  • Reporting (MIS): Monitor the performance of the assigned desk and roll out Management Information Systems (MIS) to track product sales and Relationship Manager (RM) performance.

  • Service Standards: Maintain high customer service levels to grow market share and retain existing clients.


Daily Operations

  • Market Analysis: Perform daily surveys and analysis of competitor actions.

  • Rate Management: Prepare and circulate the Daily Exchange Rate Sheet to branches before the start of business to align with the day’s trading strategy.

  • Position Management: Review and manage the bank’s Foreign Currency positions to ensure compliance with internal and external statutory requirements.

  • Interbank Trading: Trade within approved Dealer limits in the Interbank market for profit or to cover positions, adhering to local counterparty credit lines.


Requirements & Qualifications

Academic & Professional
