The Barrick Africa Middle East Team is seeking to recruit a Wash Bay Attendant to join and grow our team.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safe work practices by attending compulsory safety courses and meetings, using required PPE, reporting incidents/accidents, and fully complying with Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Operate pressure-washing equipment on assigned items in accordance with wash bay procedures.
- Clean truck interiors as per approved wash bay processes.
- Liaise with the supervisor to receive work assignments and discuss daily operational requirements, achievements, and improvement opportunities.
- Perform daily cleaning of designated areas without disrupting site operations.
- Ensure correct usage of cleaning chemicals and detergents in the prescribed proportions for cleaning and disinfection.
- Apply appropriate cleaning methods including washing, sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing as directed by the supervisor.
- Empty waste bins and manage refuse effectively by storing it in designated disposal areas.
- Wash, sanitize, and maintain all cleaning equipment and tools provided.
- Secure, use, and return room and office keys obtained from the Site Services Foreman’s office.
- Assist with movement and storage of raw materials and equipment as required.
- Request cleaning supplies from the supervisor in advance to avoid service disruption.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor within the scope of the role.
Qualification Requirements
- Secondary school education
- Sound knowledge of mining safety regulations and best practices
Experience and Competencies
- Working knowledge of equipment safety standards
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and associated equipment
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in general maintenance practices and techniques
