JOB OVERVIEW

Masika Ventures is seeking a Junior Technical Officer to gain hands-on experience across different engineering and technical disciplines.

The successful candidate will work across areas including:

• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Operations
• Quality Assurance
• Process Improvement

The ideal candidate should be resourceful, quick to learn, adaptable, and willing to take on different responsibilities as required.

Previous professional experience is not necessarily required. Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every listed qualification, as many of the required skills can be developed on the job.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of technical equipment.
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols to minimize risks.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout production and operational processes.
• Document maintenance activities, equipment modifications, and operational challenges.
• Develop process improvements using engineering principles and software tools.
• Conduct material planning and coordinate with the Procurement team on resource allocation.
• Contribute to sustainable engineering initiatives that are environmentally friendly and safe.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Candidates should have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance and Quality Control, or a STEM-related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and process improvement.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments.
• Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and adapt to different engineering, technical, and operational roles.
• Fluency in English and Swahili.
