Role Purpose

The position is responsible for systems administration, technical support, software development and systems integration initiatives, ensuring VAS applications remain secure, reliable, scalable and aligned with Vodacom standards.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development & Integration

• Develop and maintain software according to Vodacom’s SDLC and development standards.
• Collaborate with backend teams on solution implementation and integration.
• Participate in VAS, IT, billing and other technology projects.
• Design, code, test and deploy applications.

Systems Administration

• Manage application and system configurations.
• Ensure systems comply with security policies and industry best practices.
• Administer Linux, Windows Server and Unix environments.
• Manage system capacity, backup and restore processes.

Incident & Service Management

• Manage incidents, system problems and service requests according to SLAs.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning.
• Maintain reliable and optimal service availability.

DevOps & Cloud

• Work within a DevOps culture.
• Apply Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices.
• Work with cloud-native environments and architectures.
• Support microservices, APIs and public-cloud PaaS/IaaS environments.

Testing & Quality

Experience with:
