DOCG (Tanga Region) – East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Project

The Role

 

DOCG, a key contractor on the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Project, is seeking three specialized and highly qualified Quality Inspectors. These roles are critical to ensuring that all construction and installation activities adhere strictly to international standards, project specifications, and quality requirements. These positions are open exclusively to Tanzanian Nationals.

1. Quality Inspector – Piping & Hydrotest (1 Position)

 

This specialist role is focused on verifying the quality and integrity of all piping systems and associated pressure testing activities.

Key Responsibilities

 

• Conduct thorough inspections of piping fabrication and installation processes.

• Monitor and supervise all hydrotesting and pressure testing activities to ensure procedural compliance.

• Review and verify test packages, documentation, and handover certificates for completeness and accuracy.

• Ensure all piping works comply fully with relevant industry codes and project specifications.

Qualifications & Requirements

 

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or oil & gas pipeline projects.

• Certification (Advantageous): CSWIP (Certification Scheme for Welding Inspection Personnel) or ASNT (American Society for Nondestructive Testing) certification.

2. Quality Inspector – Electrical (1 Position)

 

This role focuses on inspecting and ensuring the quality of all electrical installations and components on the project site.

Key Responsibilities

 

• Perform detailed inspections of electrical installations, wiring, and grounding systems.

• Verify the quality of materials, equipment, and workmanship against approved specifications.

• Ensure strict compliance with IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) standards and specific project quality standards.

• Maintain accurate and complete quality documentation and inspection reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

 

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or oil & gas projects.

3. Quality Inspector – Instrumentation (1 Position)

 

This role ensures the accuracy, installation quality, and functionality of all instrumentation and control systems.

Key Responsibilities

 

• Inspect the installation and mechanical completion of all field instrumentation.

• Perform and oversee calibration checks and functional loop checks.

• Conduct testing to verify that all instrumentation works meet stringent project quality requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

 

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or oil & gas projects.

• Specialized Experience (Advantageous): Proven experience in loop testing procedures.
