Job Summary
Kinga Homes Boutique Limited is looking for a detail-oriented and qualified Accountant to join its Finance Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring inventory and operational costs, managing financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting, tax, and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive all incoming materials and reconcile them with purchase orders and relevant documentation.
- Track, document, and resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, goods received, invoices, and stock records.
- Manage and control cost centers across the facility.
- Update and maintain accurate inventory records, including physical inventory, receipts, adjustments, transfers, and returns.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure supplies are maintained within approved thresholds.
- Handle petty cash and ensure proper documentation and authorization of all disbursements.
- Maintain organized records of sales, purchases, expenses, supplier invoices, and other financial documents.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all stockroom transactions.
- Assist in the timely preparation of budgets in line with facility activities.
- Maintain accurate supplier records and support professional supplier relationships.
- Monitor independent revenue points, including the Bar, Restaurant, and Rooms, to ensure accurate sales reporting and reconciliation.
- Reconcile supplier invoices and ensure proper documentation before processing payments.
- Monitor purchasing and operational expenses to support effective cost control.
- Prepare and file statutory and tax returns, including PAYE, SDL, WCF, NSSF, VAT, Corporate Tax, Withholding Tax, and other applicable returns.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, tax, and statutory requirements.
- Work closely with procurement and operational teams to ensure proper purchasing, receiving, inventory, and financial recording procedures are followed.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Practical knowledge and experience using Tally accounting software is required.
- Experience in preparing and filing statutory and tax returns is required.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems is an added advantage.
- Knowledge or experience in procurement processes, purchasing procedures, inventory management, and supplier coordination is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of financial reconciliation, stock control, and cost management.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
