  • Direct and oversee the deployment of innovative underground technologies, including FMS and VoD, ensuring optimal integration and performance.
  • Lead project scoping and resource allocation, managing internal staff, consultants, contractors, Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) partners, and execution companies.
  • Ensure all projects comply with company standards, policies, and guidelines while delivering high-quality outputs aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with site management and project teams to establish clear project objectives and success criteria and execute detailed project plans.
  • Secure timely internal and external project approvals.
  • Organize projects into coherent and manageable clusters and apply effective methods and tools for execution and monitoring.
  • Lead project risk management by proactively identifying and mitigating current and future risks.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee site procurement and contract management activities, including tracking and resolving supply chain challenges affecting project schedules and budgets.
  • Develop comprehensive project budgets and multi-year capital expenditure estimates aligned with annual budgeting cycles and long-term mine planning strategies.
  • Provide monthly project forecasts, variance analyses, and financial reports integrated with site financial and cash-flow forecasting.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of project-specific Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) management plans in coordination with site HSE leadership.
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships through interdisciplinary collaboration and transparent communication.
  • Ensure effective operational readiness and seamless handover of completed projects to operations teams.
  • Support sustainable long-term mine performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline is required.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Project Management or Mining is highly preferred.
  • Professional registration or certification with an internationally recognized project management association is advantageous.
