Job Description
A Principal Business Development Officer provides senior-level leadership in identifying, developing and securing business opportunities that contribute to the organization’s strategic growth, revenue generation, market expansion and long-term sustainability. The position typically has greater responsibility for strategy, high-value opportunities, strategic partnerships.
Responsibility:
- To oversee the implementation of policies, procedures, decisions and strategies for financing development projects and activities in respective zone
- To provide technical support to developmental activities and clients financed by the Bank
- To participate in monitoring and evaluating on-going and completed projects in respective zone
- To seek and evaluate business opportunities in respective zone
- To oversee the implementation of credit and related policies, processes and procedures
- To ensure applications for loan/credit are reviewed and approved accordingly
- To control overdrafts relating to projects and development activities in respective zone
- To ensure that information on development financing is adequately made available in respective zone
- To develop and implement work plans for the zone
- To develop and maintain beneficial business relationships with corporate and clients
- To maintain good working relationships with other divisions, departments and units as well as external stakeholders
- To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.
Qualification Required:
Holder of Master Degree in one of the following fields; Economics, Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Finance, Accounts, Banking and Finance or equivalent qualification from recognized institutions
