Job Description
A Senior Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying business opportunities, developing strategic relationships, increasing revenue, and supporting the organization’s long-term growth. The role combines market research, sales, partnership development, client relationship management, and strategic planning.
Responsibility:
- To monitor the implementation of policies, procedures, decisions and strategies for financing development projects and activities in respective zone
- To provide technical support to developmental activities and clients financed by the Bank
- To participate in monitoring and evaluating on-going and completed projects in respective zone
- To seek and evaluate business opportunities in respective zone
- To monitor the implementation of credit and related policies, processes and procedures
- To ensure applications for loan/credit are reviewed and approved accordingly
- To control overdrafts relating to projects and development activities in respective zone
- To ensure that information on development financing is adequately made available in respective zone
- To develop and implement work plans for the zone
- To develop and maintain beneficial business relationships with corporate and clients
- To maintain good working relationships with other divisions, departments and units as well as external stakeholders
- To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.
Qualification Required:
Bachelor Degree in one of the following field; Economics, Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Finance, Accounts, Banking and Finance or equivalent qualification from recognized institutions
