Job Summary

The Finance Officer – Account Receivable will manage the project’s day-to-day cash needs, travel requests, payments, procurement, contracts, regional office finances, policies and procedures, consultants, travel and logistics, and project reporting.

The Finance Officer will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting issues at the regional level and will work under the direct supervision of the Senior Finance Officer.

Key Responsibilities

The Finance Officer – AR will be responsible for:

  • Managing the project’s day-to-day cash requirements.
  • Coordinating travel requests and related financial processes.
  • Managing payments and financial transactions.
  • Supporting procurement and contract-related financial activities.
  • Overseeing regional office finances.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant financial policies and procedures.
  • Managing financial matters related to consultants.
  • Coordinating travel and logistics-related financial activities.
  • Supporting project financial reporting.
  • Overseeing financial and accounting issues at the regional level.
  • Translating approved work plans into coordinated regional implementation.
  • Tracking implementation progress and addressing operational bottlenecks.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Strong written communication skills in English.
  • Fluency in Kiswahili.
  • Strong experience translating approved work plans into coordinated regional implementation.
  • Experience tracking implementation progress and addressing operational bottlenecks.
