About the Recruitment
Skill Up Advisory is conducting a confidential search for three senior leadership positions on behalf of a technology company based in Dar es Salaam.
The available positions are Head of Product, Head of Operations, and Head of Technology. All three roles require experienced leaders who can manage teams, work across functions, and translate business priorities into effective execution.
1. Head of Product
Location: Dar es Salaam

Role Overview
The Head of Product will lead the company’s product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle while coordinating product development and launches across key business functions.
Main Responsibilities
- Own product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle.
- Lead product discovery, prioritization, and requirements definition.
- Partner with Technology, Operations, and Marketing to launch and scale products.
- Track product performance, analytics, and KPIs.
- Build and lead a high-performing Product team.
- Manage, coach, and develop team members, setting clear priorities and performance expectations.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in product management, including 4+ years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with digital platforms, ticketing, fintech, or technology-enabled businesses.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Fluency in English and Swahili.

2. Head of Operations
Location: Dar es Salaam

Role Overview
The Head of Operations will lead the operations function and translate strategy into execution, with responsibility for scalable operating models, performance standards, and operational readiness.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the Operations function and translate strategy into execution.
- Build scalable operating models, SOPs, and performance standards.
- Oversee operational readiness for new products, services, and launches.
- Manage operational risk, compliance, and business continuity.
- Lead and develop the Operations team.
- Manage, coach, and develop team members, setting clear priorities and performance expectations.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or service delivery, including 4+ years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Tanzanian regulatory frameworks, including LATRA requirements.
- Strong process management, execution, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Fluency in English and Swahili.

3. Head of Technology

Role Overview
The Head of Technology will set and execute the company’s technology strategy and architecture while leading software engineering, infrastructure, and DevOps.
Main Responsibilities
- Set and execute the company’s technology strategy and architecture.
- Lead software engineering, infrastructure, and DevOps.
- Translate product requirements into scalable and secure technical solutions.
- Manage technology vendors, budget, and technical risk.
- Build and lead a high-performing Technology team.
- Manage, coach, and develop team members, setting clear priorities and performance expectations.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in technology/software engineering, including 4+ years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, DevOps, architecture, and security.
- Fluency in English and Swahili.
