Position Overview

The Systems Engineer Cybersecurity (L1) will be responsible for deploying and optimizing security solutions, managing client requests, supporting cybersecurity projects, and ensuring issues are handled through to closure.

The role requires experience in network security projects, including implementation and support of technologies such as Next Generation Firewalls, Network Access Control (NAC), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), VPN, endpoint security, and other security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of project deployments while working closely with the project management team and clients.
• Interact with clients both on-site and remotely to meet complex solution requirements.
• Respond to escalated client requests.
• Escalate complex problems to relevant OEM support teams and take ownership of cases through to closure.
• Write reports and proposals and complete and maintain project documentation.
• Engage with clients on issues relating to optimization of existing security infrastructure and new solution areas.
• Perform other related tasks as required.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computing, or a related field.

• F5
• AZ-500
• SC-200
• Security+
• CEH
• CISSP
• CISM
• Similar certifications in networking technologies

Required Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience, including:

• Experience in network security project implementation.
• Experience implementing and supporting Next Generation Firewalls.
• Experience implementing and supporting Network Access Control (NAC).
• Experience implementing and supporting Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
• Experience with security technologies including:
  • Web Security
  • Email Security
  • NAC
  • SSE
  • VPN solutions
  • Endpoint Security
  • Other related security technologies
• Experience providing technical support to clients.
• Experience handling incidents from initiation through to resolution.
