1. Agency Banking Officers – 4 Positions

Job Purpose

To drive the growth and performance of the Bank’s Agency Banking business through effective acquisition, onboarding, and management of agents, while expanding financial services outreach, transaction volumes, and revenue, and ensuring strong agent support, service quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit and onboard new Agency Banking agents within assigned territories.
• Drive growth in active agents, transaction volumes, and transaction values.
• Mobilize deposits and support the acquisition of new banking customers.
• Identify new markets and strategic locations for expansion of the Agency Banking network.
• Reactivate dormant and low-performing agents.
• Drive Agency Banking revenue and profitability.
• Conduct regular agent visits and relationship management.
• Support agents with liquidity management and operational challenges.
• Train agents on products, services, systems, and customer service standards.
• Monitor compliance with KYC, AML/CFT, Bank policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare regular performance reports and provide market and competitor intelligence.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Marketing, Economics, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant experience in Agency Banking, Banking Sales, Mobile Financial Services, Fintech, Business Development, or Relationship Management.
• Proven ability to deliver sales and business growth targets.
• Experience in agent, merchant, or distribution network development will be an added advantage.

2. Direct Sales Agents – 10 Positions

Job Purpose

To drive customer acquisition and business growth by promoting and selling the Bank’s products and services, while ensuring quality customer engagement, accurate onboarding, and compliance with Bank requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and market Maendeleo Bank products and services within assigned areas.
• Acquire new customers and open accounts, including individual, business, and group accounts.
• Drive growth in deposits, loans, digital banking, and other Bank products.
• Identify and pursue sales opportunities in the market, including businesses, SMEs, institutions, and communities.
• Conduct market visits, customer engagements, and product awareness campaigns.
• Meet and exceed assigned sales targets.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Provide relevant customer information and support during account opening and product application.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with KYC and Bank policies.
• Prepare and submit daily and weekly sales reports.
• Represent the Bank professionally and uphold the Bank’s brand and values.
