BRAC in Tanzania is one of the implementing partners of a 5-year project titled “Building an ecosystem of sustainable employment and entrepreneurship for the youth in Tanzania (BEST-Y)”. BRAC International is seeking application from competent, dynamic, and self-motivated individuals to fill the following position.

Job Purpose

Responsible for providing comprehensive human resource management support to the organization.

Core Roles and Responsibilities

  • HR Management: Manage and support employee life-cycle process from recruitment, onboarding, contract management, performance management, disciplinary and grievance handling, exit management, and preparation of various HR reports.

  • Recruitment and Selection: Assist in the recruitment process, including job posting, screening CVs, scheduling interviews, and preparing employment contracts.

  • Training and Development: Coordinate and facilitate training and development activities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

  • Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances, and provide guidance and support to maintain positive employee relations.

  • Payroll and Compensation: Assist in the preparation of monthly payroll, manage employee benefits, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

  • Performance Management: Support the implementation of the performance management system, including goal setting, performance appraisals, and feedback mechanisms.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local labor laws, BRAC International policies, and donor requirements.

  • HRIS Management: Maintain and update the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) with accurate employee data.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or a related field from a recognized university.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as HR Officer, administrator, or other HR position.

  • Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.).

  • Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures.

  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is required.
