Storekeeper at Rift Valley Children’s Fund , Arusha – December 2025
The Rift Valley Children’s Fund is seeking a dedicated, organized and detail-oriented Storekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient management of inventory, safe storage of goods and accurate record keeping in support of our programs serving children and community.
Responsibilities for this position include:
Maintains good housekeeping practices in all storage areas of the Stores and outside storage areas, arrange items according to their nature, ensuring easy access to items, easy identification by labelling etc
Maintain Filing of Requisition forms, ensuring that they are properly filled up and acknowledged by the requested party through signing off the required documents
Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records
Assist in receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality
Support inventory management by tracking stock levels and coordinating with senior team members for reordering and establish reordering stock levels for all items, especially fast-moving items
Organize and maintain storage areas to optimize space and improve accessibility
Perform regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to management
Help prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring that all necessary items are picked up and packed accurately
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to optimize stock levels and order fulfillment
Oversee the deliveries, storage, and distribution of goods to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies in inventory records
Produce periodic reports on stock levels, indicating shortages, slow-moving and at-risk items and advice actions needed
Respond to any emergency as required
Qualifications and Requirements:
Certificate in Procurement, Store Management, Supply Chain or related field
At least 1- 2 years’ experience in storekeeping or inventory management
Good knowledge of inventory software/systems (preferred)
Strong organizational and record keeping skills
High level of integrity, reliability and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently in team environment
