Shanta Gold is seeking a skilled Boilermaker to join the team at the Singida Gold Mine.

🔍 Role Overview
The Boilermaker supports reliable and efficient process plant operations by executing fabrication, welding, and structural maintenance. This role ensures equipment availability and quality workmanship while adhering to strict safety and asset reliability plans to help achieve production targets.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
🛠 Fabrication, Welding & Repairs

Technical Execution: Carry out fabrication, welding, and repairs on piping, chutes, tanks, hoppers, and structural steel according to approved drawings.

Maintenance: Perform planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance to keep plant equipment safe and operational.

Interpretation: Accurately interpret fabrication drawings for cutting, fitting, and assembly.

Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring structural issues and suggest improvements to enhance plant reliability and maintenance efficiency.
🦺 Safety, Health & Compliance

Risk Management: Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) or task risk assessments before starting work to control hazards.

Policy Adherence: Fully comply with Shanta Mining Company Limited health, safety, and environmental policies and permit-to-work systems.

Reporting: Promptly report equipment defects, near misses, incidents, and unsafe conditions to the Supervisor.

Standards: Maintain excellent housekeeping and ensure tools and materials are stored safely.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience

Education: Trade Test Certificate Grade I or Mechanical Full Technician Certificate (FTC).

Experience: At least three (3) years of experience as a Boilermaker, preferably in a mining or process plant environment.
🧠 Skills & Competencies

Technical Proficiency: Strong metalwork, welding, and fabrication skills.

Problem Solving: Good fault-finding abilities and attention to detail.

Digital Literacy: Computer literate with the ability to use electronic diagnostic tools.

Self-Management: Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a production-focused environment.
