Job Overview

The Senior Credit Analyst will play a key role in strengthening the credit assessment function by reviewing complex and high-value loan applications, supporting junior analysts, and contributing to the organization’s overall credit risk strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the credit assessment process for high-value or complex loan applications and provide expert recommendations
• Guide and mentor junior credit analysts to ensure consistency, quality, and capacity development
• Enhance credit evaluation models and tools by identifying gaps and recommending improvements to risk assessment processes
• Participate in credit committee meetings by presenting detailed analyses and expert insights to support informed decision-making
• Support strategic portfolio growth by advising management on market risks and contributing to long-term credit strategy development

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in credit analysis within a microfinance institution or financial institution
• Strong analytical, reporting, and decision-making skills
• High level of integrity and strong attention to detail
