5 Taifa Gas Job Vacancies – Dar es Salaam, Pemba January 2026

Company Overview: Taifa Gas is a leading energy provider in Tanzania’s LPG sector, focusing on distribution, safety, and clean energy solutions across Dar es Salaam and Pemba.

Taifa Gas Tanzania Limited is the largest supplier of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in Tanzania and a major energy player in the East African region. Originally established in 2005 as Mihan Gas, the company rebranded in 2019 to reflect its vision of providing clean, affordable, and accessible energy. Headquartered in Dar es Salaam, it operates a vast network of over 20 depots and storage facilities, including the country’s largest LPG terminal in Kigamboni. The company is owned by billionaire Rostam Aziz and is a key partner in the government’s National Clean Cooking Energy Strategy, which aims to transition 80% of Tanzanian households to clean energy by 2034.

Beyond its domestic dominance, Taifa Gas is aggressively expanding its footprint across Africa, with active operations and major infrastructure projects in Kenya, Zambia, and Uganda. In 2026, it is set to open a massive 30,000-metric-tonne LPG terminal in Mombasa’s Dongo Kundu Special Economic Zone, significantly boosting regional supply and lowering energy costs. The company’s mission extends beyond fuel distribution; it focuses on environmental conservation by reducing reliance on charcoal and firewood, and it actively invests in local manufacturing, such as a new plant capable of producing two million gas cylinders annually.
