The Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) is seeking motivated young graduates for a one-year internship. This is a prime opportunity to gain hands-on experience in administration and procurement within a professional environment.
About ESRF
The Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) is one of Tanzania’s premier policy research institutions. Established as an autonomous, not-for-profit organization, its primary mission is to strengthen local capabilities in policy analysis and development management. By conducting rigorous, evidence-based research, the Foundation serves as a critical bridge between academic knowledge and practical policy-making, fostering sustainable economic growth and social development.
Beyond research, ESRF plays a pivotal role in national capacity building and information dissemination. It provides a platform for intellectual dialogue through workshops, conferences, and publications, ensuring that development strategies are informed by high-quality data. The Foundation works closely with the government, the private sector, and international development partners to address the evolving socio-economic challenges within Tanzania and the wider East African region.

Key Responsibilities
Selected interns will provide essential support across several departments, including:

Front Office: Managing customer service and initial points of contact.

Administration: Handling day-to-day clerical and administrative tasks.

Logistics & Procurement: Assisting with supply chain and logistical coordination.

Event Support: Providing hands-on assistance during meetings, workshops, and high-level events.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Citizenship: Must be a Tanzanian citizen.

Age: Between 20 and 35 years old.

Education: Recent first-degree graduate in Business Administration, Procurement, Public Administration, Project Management, or related fields.

Skills: * Proficiency in English and Swahili (written and spoken).

Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
