Role Summary
The Partnerships Specialist sits at the center of D-tree’s partnership team, working across country and global teams to move opportunities from idea to submission. This position coordinates proposal development, sharpens donor-facing materials, and maintains the systems and processes that enable D-tree to build and sustain strong, effective partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Proposal Development & Coordination

  • Coordinate proposal development timelines, inputs, and internal reviews across technical, finance, and leadership teams
  • Maintain proposal calendars and submission trackers to ensure deadlines are met
  • Support drafting and assembly of proposal components (narratives, budgets, annexes) based on clear direction
  • Ensure proposal packages are complete and submission-ready

Donor Communications Support

  • Support the preparation of donor-facing materials (briefs, pitch decks, concept notes, follow-up materials) by coordinating inputs from programs and other teams, providing guidance on structure and messaging, and ensuring all materials are accurate and polished
  • Support donor due diligence by coordinating and compiling information and key documents from across the organization
  • Track donor interactions and next steps in the CRM
  • Maintain organized records of donor communications and materials
  • Prepare and support country directors and staff for donor meetings to ensure aligned messaging and confident engagement

Development Operations & Pipeline Management

  • Maintain and update D-tree’s CRM
  • Track funding pipeline stages, deadlines, and decision timelines
  • Support internal pipeline reviews and forecasting

Funder Research & Opportunity Tracking

  • Monitor and summarize relevant funding opportunities
  • Support funder research and background preparation
  • Maintain funder profiles and internal reference materials

Internal Coordination & Process Support

  • Support refinement of development templates, tools, and internal workflows
  • Help preserve institutional memory across proposals and funder engagements
  • Support and nurture a fundraising-oriented culture across the organization, promoting a “business development mindset”

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as International Development, Global Health, Communications, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience supporting partnerships, operations, or development functions in mission-driven organizations
  • Strong project management and team coordination skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication, highly organized, and detail-oriented, with experience maintaining systems, processes, and tools (including CRMs)
  • Collaborative and adaptable, able to work effectively across teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments

Salary Range:

The salary range for this role is USD 35,000 to USD 65,000 per year. Salary placement within this range will be based on the candidate’s skills, relevant experience, and demonstrated value to the organization. While salary offers typically begin at the lower end of the range, candidates who bring strong, directly relevant expertise and exceptional value may be placed higher within the range, in line with D-tree’s compensation approach and internal equity considerations.
