HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, and onboarding of new employees
- Maintain, update, and ensure accuracy of employee records and HR databases
- Administer HR-related payments, including terminal benefits and statutory deductions
- Support payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and labor regulations
- Handle employee relations issues and respond to staff queries professionally
- Enforce company policies and procedures across the organization
- Assist in performance management processes, including staff appraisals and evaluations
- Coordinate training and development programs for employees
- Prepare HR reports, documentation, and maintain proper filing systems
Core Competencies
- Understanding of HR processes, payroll support, and employee lifecycle management
- Knowledge of labor regulations and statutory requirements
- Accuracy in handling employee records, payroll data, and reports
- Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion
- Effective time management and ability to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to address employee concerns and provide practical HR solutions
- Proficiency in HR systems and standard office applications
- Ability to collaborate with different departments and support organizational goals
Requirements and Qualifications
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, or a related field
- At least 3–5 years of experience in HR operations or administration (added advantage)
- Basic knowledge of labor laws, statutory requirements, and HR best practices
- Understanding of payroll processes, including terminal benefits and mandatory deductions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and time management abilities
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle employee relations matters
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and HR systems
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
