HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, and onboarding of new employees
  • Maintain, update, and ensure accuracy of employee records and HR databases
  • Administer HR-related payments, including terminal benefits and statutory deductions
  • Support payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and labor regulations
  • Handle employee relations issues and respond to staff queries professionally
  • Enforce company policies and procedures across the organization
  • Assist in performance management processes, including staff appraisals and evaluations
  • Coordinate training and development programs for employees
  • Prepare HR reports, documentation, and maintain proper filing systems

Core Competencies

  • Understanding of HR processes, payroll support, and employee lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of labor regulations and statutory requirements
  • Accuracy in handling employee records, payroll data, and reports
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion
  • Effective time management and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to address employee concerns and provide practical HR solutions
  • Proficiency in HR systems and standard office applications
  • Ability to collaborate with different departments and support organizational goals

Requirements and Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, or a related field
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in HR operations or administration (added advantage)
  • Basic knowledge of labor laws, statutory requirements, and HR best practices
  • Understanding of payroll processes, including terminal benefits and mandatory deductions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational and time management abilities
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle employee relations matters
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and HR systems
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
