🛡️ Security Officer

🎯 Job Purpose
The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining safety and security within the store/mall environment. This includes protecting people, property, and company assets while preventing loss or damage caused by theft, fire, accidents, or natural disasters.
The role also supports customer safety and ensures a secure shopping environment.
🧾 Key Responsibilities
🛍️ 1. Customer Service & Presence
- Acknowledge and assist customers entering the store
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence
- Support customer service when needed, similar to sales staff
👁️ 2. Surveillance & Loss Prevention
- Monitor customers, staff, and stock to prevent theft or damage
- Act as “human CCTV” by observing suspicious behaviour
- Conduct regular patrols of store areas (fitting rooms, stock rooms, back office, etc.)
- Perform random security alarm checks
🚨 3. Incident Response & Reporting
- Respond quickly to alarms or security incidents
- Document all incidents accurately (theft, damage, suspicious activity)
- Prepare official reports for police or legal use when required
🔐 4. Access Control & Security Enforcement
- Monitor entry and exit points of the store
- Ensure staff are checked when entering or leaving
- Verify customer receipts and purchases at exit points
- Enforce return and exchange policies as per company rules
📋 5. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all security and safety procedures are followed
- Monitor staff sign-in/sign-out during shifts and breaks
- Identify and report security risks or vulnerabilities
- Support prevention of fire, theft, or operational hazards
🎓 Qualifications
- Minimum Secondary Education or higher
📌 Experience Requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience in a security role
- Military or combat training is an added advantage
👤 Preferred Profile
- Age: 25–35 years
- Alert, disciplined, and physically fit
- Strong observation and reporting skills
- High level of integrity and responsibility
