Position Objective
The Senior Manager Trade Finance will be responsible for developing and delivering trade finance solutions to clients, including government, corporate, and institutional customers. The role focuses on growing trade finance business volumes, revenue generation, and strengthening client relationships through structured financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Revenue Generation
- Drive trade finance business volume and revenue growth
- Achieve budgeted targets for funded and non-funded trade finance products
- Maximize utilization of client credit limits
- Cross-sell trade finance and other banking products
Client Relationship Management
- Conduct regular client engagement meetings from a trade finance perspective
- Work jointly with relationship managers to identify business opportunities
- Strengthen client awareness through advisory services and support
- Gather market and customer feedback on products and competitors
Trade Finance Solutions Development
- Design and introduce new trade finance products and structured solutions
- Provide tailored solutions to clients across various sectors
- Support improvement of turnaround time for trade finance transactions
- Ensure smooth coordination between departments for service delivery
Training, Seminars & Market Engagement
- Organize trade finance seminars and client training sessions
- Improve client understanding of trade finance products
- Promote awareness of banking solutions in the market
Portfolio & Institutional Management
- Manage a portfolio of financial institutions supporting trade transactions
- Ensure efficient utilization of banking limits across clients
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify growth opportunities
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Master’s Degree in:
- Business Administration
- Finance
- Accountancy
- Banking
- Economics
- Entrepreneurship
- Or equivalent field
Experience
- Minimum 16 years of experience in banking or financial services
- Strong background in trade finance and corporate banking
- Experience working with government or large corporate clients is an advantage
- Proven managerial or leadership experience required
