Job Purpose
To manage and oversee procurement and purchasing operations, ensuring cost efficiency, timely acquisition of goods and services, strong supplier relationships, and compliance with company policies and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Purchasing Operations
- Oversee all purchasing activities within the organization
- Ensure timely procurement of goods and services
- Approve purchase requisitions and purchase orders
Supplier Management
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors
- Negotiate prices, contracts, and purchasing terms
- Maintain strong supplier relationships
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations
Cost Control & Market Monitoring
- Monitor market trends and pricing
- Control purchasing costs and support cost-saving initiatives
- Ensure value-for-money procurement decisions
Inventory & Coordination
- Coordinate with warehouse and departments on stock needs
- Maintain optimal inventory levels
- Ensure alignment between procurement and operational requirements
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies
- Maintain proper documentation and procurement records
- Support internal and external audits related to procurement
Cross-Department Coordination
- Work closely with departments to identify procurement needs
- Ensure smooth communication between operations and suppliers
