Job Summary

The Relationship Manager – Agribusiness is responsible for growing NBC’s agribusiness portfolio through:

• New business acquisition
• Credit assessment and loan processing
• Portfolio management and development
• Structuring and booking quality agribusiness loans

This role combines banking, agriculture, and commercial strategy, requiring strong deal-making and sector expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth & Portfolio Development

• Identify and develop new agribusiness opportunities
• Build and manage relationships with clients, government institutions, and financial partners
• Support branches and Head Office in portfolio expansion
• Develop business cases and financing proposals
• Provide insights on agriculture sector trends, farmer needs, and value chain financing
• Supervise branch teams in managing stressed assets

Product Development

• Collaborate with internal teams to design new agribusiness financial products
• Maintain product catalogues
• Review product performance using monthly reports
• Advise on pricing and competitiveness

Risk Management & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to credit policies and guidelines
• Monitor agribusiness loan performance
• Support internal and external audits
• Guide branches on managing delinquent loans and enforcing loan terms

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in:
  • Agricultural Economics / Agribusiness
  • Business Administration
  • Banking & Finance
  • Or related field

Experience

• Minimum 5 years in agricultural financing
• Strong expertise in agribusiness value chain financing
• Experience in deal structuring and negotiation
• Proven ability to convert deals into strategic business opportunities
