Job Summary
The Relationship Manager – Business Banking is responsible for managing a portfolio of high-value business clients and driving portfolio growth through sales, service excellence, and relationship management.
The role focuses on:
- Achieving sales and income targets
- Increasing customer satisfaction and wallet share
- Ensuring quality service delivery and risk management
- Building long-term client relationships
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Service (65%)
- Grow portfolio value through cross-selling and up-selling
- Identify customer needs and provide tailored financial solutions
- Generate referrals from existing clients
- Maintain proactive and regular client engagement
- Achieve customer satisfaction targets through improved service delivery
- Maintain accurate customer records and documentation
- Handle customer queries and complaints effectively
- Promote alternative banking channels
- Provide financial advice to customers
- Conduct annual and interim portfolio reviews
- Build and maintain relationship plans for all clients
- Strengthen the bank’s presence in the local market
Business Management (30%)
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Assess and prioritize customers based on potential value
- Gather and analyze information for credit applications
- Collaborate with credit and operations teams to structure deals
- Maintain portfolio quality and monitor risk triggers
- Ensure compliance with credit and risk policies
Staff Management (5%)
- Coach and support:
- Business Analysts
- Relationship Officers
- Operational Bankers
- Contribute to team development and performance

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Commerce
- Economics
- Or related field

- 2 years managing high-value client relationships
- 7–10 years overall banking experience
