Job Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all specific objectives. This role requires providing on-site leadership, managing diverse teams, and ensuring the most efficient use of resources to achieve desired results.

Main Roles and Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Leadership: Lead project planning sessions and provide on-site leadership to build and motivate the project team.

• Resource Coordination: Coordinate staff and internal resources effectively.

• Risk & Quality Management: Design risk mitigation plans and act as an internal quality control check for the project.

• Financial Oversight: Manage monthly claims, certifications, and project budgets; ensure the Profit and Loss statement is monitored regularly.

• Safety & Compliance: Inspect sites regularly to eliminate safety hazards and educate workers on construction safety regulations.

• Technical Analysis: Analyze blueprints to ensure projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications.

• Stakeholder Management: Develop trusted advisor relationships with stakeholders and manage project expectations throughout the life cycle.

• Operational Efficiency: Oversee the timely ordering of materials and equipment to avoid cost overruns or emergencies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or Engineering is preferred.

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in construction project management, specifically managing irrigation and leading multiple crews.

• Skills:

  • Proven experience in developing bids, cost estimates, and project schedules.

  • Strong ability to monitor market trends and identify growth opportunities.

  • Competence in resolving service issues and maintaining high-quality client relationships.
