About the School

Haven of Peace Academy (HOPAC) is a faith-based international Christian school owned and operated by Haven of Peace Trust. Founded in 1994 for children of missionaries, the school has grown into a diverse Christian international learning community serving students from missionary families, expatriate communities, and Tanzanian families working across non-profit, private, and public sectors.

The school is located in Kunduchi at the junction of Salasala Road and Bagamoyo Road in Kinondoni Municipality, Dar es Salaam.

HOPAC follows the Cambridge Curriculum and is accredited by ACSI/MSA.

Digital Learning & Library Media Specialist


Job Summary

The Digital Learning & Library Media Specialist leads the development and management of a dynamic, Christ-centered learning commons that integrates library services, information literacy, and educational technology.

The role supports student achievement by equipping learners with research, critical thinking, and digital literacy skills necessary for independent and lifelong learning.

The Specialist will collaborate closely with teachers and school leadership to integrate information and technology literacy across the curriculum, helping students become ethical, discerning, and effective users of information.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Applicants for the Digital Learning & Library Media Specialist position should have:

  • A strong commitment to Christian values and student discipleship
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science or a related field
  • Experience working in a library or educational environment
  • Demonstrated experience using instructional and educational technology tools
  • Strong understanding of information literacy and research practices
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English
