Taifa Gas: Graduate Trainee Position

Taifa Gas Tanzania Limited (TAIFA GAS) started as Mihan Gas Company Limited (MIHAN GAS). The company was incorporated in the United Republic of Tanzania in 2005 with certificate of incorporation number 52508, as a limited company under the Companies Ordinance (Cap 212), The Company spent two years in its initial business startup investment in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and eventually commenced business in 2008. In 2017, the company was acquired by new shareholders and subsequently, in 2019, the company name changed from Mihan Gas Company Limited to Taifa Gas Company Limited to reflect company’s new Vision and Mission. Taifa Gas Tanzania Limited operates under Taifa Gas and Mihan Gas brands as observed through its LPG cylinders and other related equipment.

Taifa Gas has other 20 operating depots in Mwanza, Mbeya, Moshi, Dodoma, Singida, Morogoro, Iringa, Kahama, Kigoma, Songea, Njombe, Manyara, Bukoba, Geita, Tabora, Musoma, Arusha, Sumbawanga, Tanga and Shinyanga. Two depots Mwanga and Lindi are in final stages of construction.

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or any other related field.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, including welding, machining, and fabrication.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) will be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced production environment.
  • High level of integrity, discipline, and a strong work ethic.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards in all production processes.
