Job Vacancy – Direct Sales Agent (DSA)

Position Overview

The Direct Sales Agent (DSA) is responsible for driving customer acquisition, onboarding, and revenue growth through direct engagement with prospective clients.

The role involves promoting the bank’s products and services, building strong customer relationships, and achieving assigned sales targets while ensuring compliance with banking regulations and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Acquisition & Sales

The Direct Sales Agent will:

  • Actively source, engage, and acquire new customers through:
    • Field visits
    • Referrals
    • Networking activities
  • Promote and sell banking products and services, including:
    • Savings and current accounts
    • Loans
    • Deposits
    • Insurance products
    • Debit and credit cards
    • Other retail banking solutions
  • Conduct product presentations and explain product features and benefits.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide product-related guidance.
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.

Business Development

The successful candidate will:

  • Follow up on sales leads and business opportunities.
  • Conduct cold-calling activities targeting high-value prospects.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase market share.
  • Promote Personal Banking products and services.
  • Provide feedback on:
    • Customer needs
    • Market trends
    • Competitor activities

Customer Relationship Management

Responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Ensuring customer retention and identifying cross-selling opportunities.
  • Following up with customers to ensure their needs have been met.
  • Providing ongoing product support and information.
  • Identifying customer concerns and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Maintaining professional representation of the bank at all times.

Account Opening & Compliance

The DSA will:

  • Assist customers with account opening processes.
  • Ensure accurate completion of account opening forms and documentation.
  • Verify compliance with:
    • Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements
    • Regulatory guidelines
    • Internal bank procedures
  • Conduct customer needs analysis before recommending products and services.

Stakeholder Coordination

The role requires collaboration with:

  • Personal Bankers

  • Branch Operations Teams

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Successfully handing over customer relationships to the appropriate banking teams.
  • Responding to customer, credit, and branch-related inquiries.
