Job Summary

Bagamoyo Sugar Limited is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support laboratory operations, including medical testing, sample collection, equipment maintenance, and record keeping to ensure accurate and reliable diagnostic results.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests such as:
  • Blood tests
  • Urinalysis
  • Microbiological cultures for disease diagnosis
• Ensure accuracy of test results through proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Collect and handle biological samples while maintaining sterility and safety standards
• Assist in detection and monitoring of infectious diseases
• Record and maintain laboratory test results and patient records
• Manage laboratory supplies, reagents, and consumables
• Support smooth laboratory operations
• Perform any other duties assigned by management

Qualifications and Requirements

• Certificate in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
• Valid practicing license
• Registration with ERP
• Minimum of 2 years working experience
• Experience in occupational health or industrial medicine is an added advantage
• Ability to compile all application documents into a single PDF
