Job Summary
At Hyatt, the purpose is to care for people so they can be their best. Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam is seeking a passionate and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead all Food and Beverage operations while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining Hyatt brand standards.
The successful candidate will oversee restaurant outlets and banqueting operations, drive revenue growth, improve operational efficiency, maintain food safety standards, and develop team members to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Food & Beverage Operations Management
- Oversee all Food & Beverage outlets and banquet operations.
- Ensure delivery of exceptional guest service and dining experiences.
- Maintain compliance with Hyatt brand standards and operating procedures.
Revenue and Cost Management
- Drive revenue growth across all F&B operations.
- Monitor and control operational costs.
- Improve profitability while maintaining service quality.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, coach, and motivate Food & Beverage teams.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Identify training and development opportunities for colleagues.
Food Safety and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Implement and monitor HACCP procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and operational excellence throughout all outlets.
Guest Experience Management
- Handle guest feedback professionally.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Continuously improve service standards and guest engagement.
Qualifications
Education
- Diploma or Degree in:
- Hospitality Management
- Hotel Management
- Or a related field
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in food service operations.
- Previous supervisory or management experience is required.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) standards.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple operations simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
