About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Electronics Engineer to lead our repair centre operations. This role combines advanced technical expertise with team supervision and operational management to ensure efficient service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical
- Diagnose and repair smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops, and related devices.
- Perform hardware repairs including screens, batteries, charging ports, keyboards, cameras, and speakers.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating system issues across Apple, Android, and Windows platforms.
- Conduct testing and quality checks before device handover.
- Maintain accurate repair records and customer data confidentiality.
Operations & Supervision
- Oversee daily repair centre operations and workflow.
- Manage repair tickets and ensure timely completion of cases.
- Allocate work, monitor technician productivity, and maintain service quality standards.
- Communicate with customers regarding quotations, approvals, repair updates, and collections.
- Handle customer escalations and complex technical issues.
- Manage spare parts, tools, inventory, and service documentation.
- Prepare periodic performance reports and mentor junior technicians.
- Ensure compliance with ESD practices, company procedures, and manufacturer requirements, including AASP standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience repairing mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and computers.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Apple devices and diagnostics is highly preferred.
- Apple certifications and motherboard-level repair experience are an advantage.
- Experience supervising technicians and managing repair workflows.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Diploma/Degree, relevant qualification in IT, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Skills
- Experience using professional repair and diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with ESD safety procedures and repair best practices.
- Experience in high-volume service environments with defined KPIs.
- Knowledge of inventory management and repair ticketing systems.
