About the Role

Zanzibar White Sand Luxury Villas & Spa is seeking an experienced Spa Manager to lead its luxury wellness operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences. The successful candidate will oversee spa operations, team development, financial performance, and service excellence while ensuring the resort’s high hospitality standards are maintained.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Oversee daily spa operations.
  • Coordinate with different departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Manage inventory, stock control, and procurement activities.
  • Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service and personalized wellness experiences.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally.
  • Develop new wellness concepts aligned with guest preferences and industry trends.
  • Assist in planning and executing special events.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing and other departments.
  • Act as a liaison between the General Manager and spa team.
  • Participate in management meetings and operational planning.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, train, and develop spa staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and coaching sessions.
  • Foster teamwork, professionalism, and positive workplace culture.
  • Ensure compliance with Zanzibar White Sand service philosophy and standards.
  • Introduce new wellness trends and opportunities together with the General Manager.

Financial & Revenue Management

  • Monitor budgets and control operational costs.
  • Analyze financial reports and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support pricing strategies and promotional campaigns.
  • Develop incentives and promotions to increase revenue and profitability.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in spa and wellness operations.
  • Previous experience in a similar leadership role within a luxury hotel or resort is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of spa operations, service standards, and guest relations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong budgeting, financial management, and cost-control skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Passion for hospitality and wellness.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently.
  • Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and evenings when required.
