Job Purpose

To support the bank’s internal control framework by conducting branch control reviews, coordination activities, and quality control of operational processes at branch and Head Office levels. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures while promoting a strong risk and compliance culture.


Key Responsibilities

Branch Control & Monitoring

  • Review areas identified in the Branch & Head Office Control Checklist and report findings.
  • Conduct daily reviews of branch General Ledger (G/L) accounts and assist in resolving exceptions.
  • Monitor timely submission of operational returns to regulators and authorities.
  • Monitor Vault and ATM limits daily and escalate deviations immediately.
  • Participate in branch visits and physical control reviews.
  • Review daily branch compliance reports and escalate significant issues.

Reconciliation & Compliance

  • Follow up and monitor reconciliations under the Operations Department.
  • Support engagement with Risk and Compliance teams on regulatory matters.
  • Follow up closure of audit, risk, and compliance findings.
  • Review customer onboarding activities to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain records of control reviews, findings, exceptions, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare reports and provide updates to management.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • First University Degree in Business-related studies.

Experience

  • 0–1 year experience in a banking operations environment (Branch and/or Head Office).

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of banking operations.
  • Understanding of branch and centralized banking processes.
  • Basic knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Risk and compliance awareness.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Report-writing skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
