Watumishi Housing Investments (WHI) invites qualified and dynamic Public Servants who wish to join the organization through transfer to apply for the following position.
About WHI
Watumishi Housing Investments (WHI) was established in 2013 to implement the Public Servants Housing Scheme (PSHS). The organization operates as a property developer and a licensed fund manager responsible for managing the Watumishi Housing REIT (WH-REIT).
Position: Records Officer I
Number of Posts: 1
Duty Station: WHI Head Office, Dar es Salaam
Salary Scale: WHIS 5
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining up-to-date registers of files and file index books.
- Issuing application forms and providing rules and regulations regarding library membership and the use of open registered letters.
- Distributing files to designated officers.
- Filing correspondence in appropriate files and maintaining cross-references.
- Copying correspondence to relevant files and attending to them whenever necessary.
- Managing all dispatches, flimsy files, and franking machines.
- Performing any other official duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields:
- Archives
- Records Management
- Archives and Information Management
- Or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of four (4) years of working experience in a related field.
