Amana Bank is currently seeking a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Relationship Manager.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Business Growth & Customer Acquisition
-
Recruit new customers for Asset-backed facilities and other bank products to increase the customer base.
-
Pursue new and clean financing and related deals by negotiating effectively with customers.
-
Achieve contracted business growth targets and ensure revenue achievements align with set targets in assigned segments.

Use existing customers as referrals to acquire new business.
Portfolio & Relationship Management
-
Maintain a continuous growth path of the assigned portfolio in accordance with the Bank’s strategic plans.

Evaluate actual and potential returns on each customer within your assigned portfolio.

Conduct customer visits regularly and prioritize workload to ensure timely feedback to customers.

Liaise with the Financing Management Department to ensure customers’ requirements are appropriately accomplished.
Credit Analysis & Risk Management

Analyze creditworthiness and recommend an optimal amount of global credit support for each customer.

Minimize risk by ensuring strict adherence to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures.

Maintain a minimum NPF (Non-Performing Financing) ratio according to set standards.

Improve and maintain follow-ups/controls, ensuring negative variances are properly defined and corrective actions are taken.

Provide relevant and timely information about portfolio clients and participate in departmental meetings to defend facility proposals.
Competency Requirements

Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of risks and profitability involved in banking transactions, alongside a strong grasp of banking products.

Sharia Compliance: Solid knowledge of Sharia-compliant financial products.

Market Awareness: Good understanding of the Tanzanian economy and financial landscape.

Soft Skills: Excellent selling, networking, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Teamwork & Service: Proven ability as an excellent team player with exceptional customer service skills.
Qualifications & Experience Required
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or any other related field.
-
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the banking business.
