Job Purpose

The Nurse Assistant is responsible for providing basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff and assisting patients with daily activities they are unable to perform independently due to illness or medical conditions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Help patients with positioning, turning, and mobility.
• Lift and transport patients when required.
• Respond promptly to patient calls and requests.
• Observe, report, and respond to changes in patients’ conditions.
• Attend required in-service training and educational programs.
• Assist with housekeeping duties and meal service.
• Provide health education to both inpatients and outpatients.
• Support prevention and control of communicable diseases.
• Maintain cleanliness of wards and the hospital environment.
• Perform all duties with awareness of environmental protection and pollution prevention.

Qualifications and Experience

• One-year Nurse Assistant Certificate from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a hospital setting.
