Direct Sales Agent
Job Description
The Direct Sales Agent (DSA) is responsible for driving customer acquisition, onboarding, and revenue growth through direct engagement with prospective clients. The role focuses on promoting the bank’s products and services, building strong customer relationships, and consistently achieving assigned sales targets.
Qualifications
Education
- First Degree (Bachelor’s Degree)
Field of Study
- Business Administration
- Accounting
- Finance
- Or any other related field
Key Responsibilities
Customer Acquisition & Sales
- Actively source, engage, and acquire new customers through field visits, referrals, networking, and other sales initiatives.
- Promote and sell the bank’s products and services, including:
- Bank accounts
- Loans
- Deposits
- Insurance
- Cards
- Other banking solutions
- Conduct product presentations, explain product features and benefits, and address customer inquiries.
- Develop business opportunities by following up on generated leads.
- Conduct planned cold-calling activities targeting potential high-value prospects.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase market share.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to enhance customer retention.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling banking products.
- Follow up with customers after sales to ensure their needs have been met.
- Provide additional product information and support while identifying and resolving customer issues.
- Represent the bank professionally during all customer interactions.
Account Opening & Compliance
- Ensure accurate completion of account opening forms and supporting documentation.
- Comply with Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements and all applicable regulatory standards.
- Conduct comprehensive customer needs analyses when opening new accounts or recommending products, in line with bank policies and product guidelines.
Sales Performance
- Achieve assigned daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Provide regular feedback on:
- Customer needs
- Market trends
- Competitor activities
Collaboration & Customer Handover
- Successfully hand over customer relationships to:
- Personal Bankers
- Branch Managers
- Business Development Managers under Employee Value Banking (EVB)
- Attend to customer inquiries originating from clients, Credit, or Branch teams.
- Ensure compliance with all Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Keep up to date with changes in banking policies, procedures, and service standards.
