1. Storekeeper (1 Position)

Reporting To

  • Operation Manager
  • Accountant

Job Summary

The Storekeeper will be responsible for receiving, issuing, and managing inventory while maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring proper storage of goods in accordance with company procedures and health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and issue stock according to established procedures.
  • Place purchase orders through the company’s online procurement system.
  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing stock.
  • File and securely store invoices, reports, and other inventory documentation.
  • Conduct regular inventory inspections and periodic stock-taking.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the storeroom and surrounding areas.
  • Support the Cost Controller in inventory management and cost control activities.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of goods, especially food and beverage items.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and hygiene.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in:
    • Stores Management
    • Procurement
    • Or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a Storekeeper (hotel/lodge experience is an added advantage).
  • Good record-keeping and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel and inventory systems preferred).
  • Honest, responsible, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills in both English and Swahili.

2. Housekeeping Supervisor (1 Position)

Reporting To

  • Operation Manager

Job Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms and lodge facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities.
  • Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities meet cleanliness standards.
  • Inspect rooms and facilities to ensure compliance with quality and hygiene standards.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate housekeeping staff.
  • Prepare housekeeping schedules.
  • Manage housekeeping supplies and inventory.
  • Report maintenance issues and coordinate repairs.
  • Ensure proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Maintain excellent guest satisfaction through quality housekeeping services.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in:
    • Hospitality Management
    • Housekeeping
    • Or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a housekeeping supervisory role within a hotel, lodge, or hospitality environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience is an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

3. Assistant Sous Chef (1 Position)

Reporting To

  • Head Chef

Job Summary

The Assistant Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations while ensuring high-quality food preparation, food safety, and efficient kitchen performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily management of kitchen operations.
  • Prepare and present high-quality meals according to lodge standards.
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff during food preparation and service.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Monitor food quality, portion control, and kitchen cleanliness.
  • Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering supplies.
  • Support menu development and seasonal menu planning.
  • Maintain a professional, positive, and collaborative working environment.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chef in a lodge, hotel, or restaurant.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
  • Knowledge of both local and international cuisine is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Culinary training or certification is an added advantage.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.

4. Maintenance Officer (1 Position)

Reporting To

  • Operation Manager

Job Summary

The Maintenance Officer will oversee maintenance operations throughout the lodge, ensuring facilities, equipment, and utilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily inspections to ensure lodge facilities meet safety standards.
  • Supervise all maintenance activities.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce maintenance costs.
  • Report maintenance issues to the Operations Manager.
  • Coordinate routine maintenance for guest rooms, kitchens, offices, and other facilities.
  • Ensure generators, laundry machines, water pumps, and other equipment remain in good working condition.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
  • Monitor maintenance tools and spare parts inventory.
  • Maintain swimming pools.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records and logs.
  • Prepare and submit daily maintenance reports.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Maintenance from VETA or another recognized institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality or lodge industry is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems (including 3-phase electrical systems) and plumbing.
  • Strong knowledge of machinery and maintenance equipment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Applicants must be between 25 and 40 years of age.
