Job Profile
The Senior Internal Auditor II reports to the Head of Internal Audit and is responsible for carrying out internal audit functions within the Bank. The role supports the enhancement of governance, risk management, and internal control systems by conducting audit assignments and ensuring timely implementation of audit recommendations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out periodic internal audit assignments and prepare timely audit reports for supervisory review.
- Conduct follow-up reviews to confirm the implementation of recommendations from previous internal audits and reports issued by other assurance providers.
- Review the Internal Audit Manual and Internal Audit Charter, and recommend updates in line with current professional auditing standards and best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify key risk areas for inclusion in the Bank’s annual internal audit plan.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Internal Audit from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Auditing, Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration/Commerce (majoring in Accountancy or Finance), or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- An internationally recognized professional accountancy qualification such as ACCA or CPA (T).
- Knowledge and practical skills in computer applications used for auditing purposes.
- At least seven (7) years of relevant working experience in the audit profession.
