Mkombozi Commercial Bank (MKCB) PLC was established in 2009 as an initiative of the Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC). Its primary mission is to provide high-quality financial services with integrity, specifically targeting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), SACCOS, social institutions like schools and hospitals, and emerging Tanzanian businesses. While it has strong roots in the Catholic Church, the bank operates as a public entity, listed on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE), and serves customers of all religious persuasions across Tanzania.
The bank offers a comprehensive suite of products including savings and current accounts, microfinance and mortgage loans, and insurance services. To enhance accessibility, Mkombozi has expanded its footprint to 12 branches across major regions such as Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Arusha, and Dodoma, supported by a network of over 500 “Mkombozi Wakala” agents. It has also modernized its operations with digital solutions like mobile banking, internet banking, and specialized platforms like “Sadaka Digital” to cater to the evolving needs of its community-focused and corporate clientele.

Position: Branch Manager
Mkombozi Commercial Bank is seeking a qualified and experienced professional to join its team as a Branch Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Experience
- 3–5+ years of experience in a management or leadership role within retail banking.
- Proven experience in sales, customer service, and people management.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and monitor branch staff to ensure high performance and a motivated workforce.
- Set, monitor, and evaluate performance objectives while providing regular feedback.
- Build and maintain a positive, collaborative, and productive work environment.
- Apply excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.
- Effectively manage multiple responsibilities and work under pressure.
