Position: Monitoring, Evaluation & Verification (MEV) Coordinator

📍 Location: Zanzibar (Unguja & Pemba), Tanzania

EarthLungs is seeking an experienced Monitoring, Evaluation & Verification (MEV) Coordinator to lead monitoring, evaluation, and verification activities across restoration sites in Zanzibar. The role will ensure that restoration efforts are accurately measured, documented, and contribute to long-term environmental impact.

If you are passionate about environmental monitoring, data integrity, GIS, and evidence-based conservation, this is an opportunity to contribute to ecosystem restoration.

Key Requirements

• Experience in monitoring, evaluation, and environmental data management.
• Knowledge of GIS, Kobo/ODK, or related MEV tools.
• Strong skills in data analysis, reporting, and data quality assurance.
• Experience supervising field teams and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Unguja, Pemba, and restoration sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, GIS, Monitoring & Evaluation, or a related field.
• Experience working in restoration, conservation, or NGO projects is an added advantage.
