About TANICA

Tanganyika Instant Coffee Co. Ltd (TANICA), based in Bukoba Municipality, Kagera Region, has been producing instant coffee in Tanzania since 1963. The company invites qualified Tanzanian candidates to apply for the available Machine Operator positions.

Position: Machine Operator

Available Positions:

1. Electrical Installation / Industrial Electrical – 1 Position
2. Auto Electric – 1 Position
3. Boiler Operations – 1 Position

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure machines are inspected, cleaned, and ready before production begins.
• Monitor and control machine performance, settings, and operating conditions.
• Conduct regular tests to assess machine performance and production capacity.
• Feed raw materials into machines according to production requirements.
• Inspect product output during production to identify machine-related faults or quality issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production-related machine problems during shifts.
• Maintain updated records of machine information, defective units, and final products produced during each shift.
• Keep production activity logs and submit regular performance reports.
• Perform any other lawful duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must have:

• A Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV).
• A Vocational Training Certificate Level III / Grade I from a recognized institution in one of the following fields:
  • Electrical Installation / Industrial Electrical
  • Auto Electrical
  • Boiler Operations
• At least three (3) years of relevant working experience in the respective field.
