Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with additional hours as required
Job Purpose
The Assistant Manager will oversee the entire insurance premium financing process by developing and implementing strategies to optimize premium financing sales and operations, set business targets, manage risks, drive growth, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the premium finance business.
- Expand the client base, increase loan volumes and maximize revenue.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships and markets.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities.
- Lead, coach and supervise the Insurance Premium Finance team.
- Set clear goals and monitor team performance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and training.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, insurance carriers, financial institutions and other stakeholders.
- Address client inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly.
- Identify opportunities to improve client relationships and customer experience.
- Ensure efficient operation of premium finance processes and systems.
- Streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Implement best practices and standards.
- Assess and manage credit, market and regulatory risks.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and industry standards.
- Implement policies, procedures and controls to mitigate risks.
- Prepare regular reports and performance updates for senior management.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Experience & Skills
- At least 5 years’ work experience in the Credit or Insurance industry, particularly in Operations, Underwriting and Claims.
- Excellent knowledge of credit and insurance products and processes.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Ability to drive business performance and revenue.
- Good interpersonal and management skills.
- Strong understanding of customer segmentation, customer needs and distribution-channel strategies.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and supervise teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Insurance, Banking, Risk Management, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum Certificate in Insurance/CoP.
- Sworn declaration of good character and solvency.
- Attested declaration on solvency and non-conviction in criminal offences.
- ACII is an added advantage.

- Suggest and adopt new practices that improve efficiency.
