About the Role

Bolt is seeking an Operations Specialist – Driver Growth, Planning & City Expansion to support the launch and growth of secondary cities across Tanzania.

The role will focus on driver acquisition, city expansion, marketplace performance, and supply-demand balance. The successful candidate will work closely with local and cross-functional teams to turn data and market insights into practical growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end driver acquisition funnel, from lead generation through activation and active driver performance.
• Use scout programs, referrals, and other acquisition channels to achieve driver supply targets.
• Improve driver onboarding through engagement centres, clinics, and compliance processes.
• Monitor activation quality and early driver retention.
• Support expansion into new and secondary cities across Tanzania.
• Develop and execute structured city growth plans.
• Implement initiatives that increase driver activation and ride demand.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on driver growth and city performance metrics.
• Translate data insights into prioritized action plans.
• Work with Marketplace, Driver Engagement, and Rider teams to identify bottlenecks and improve overall market performance.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have:

• 3–5 years of experience in operations, logistics, mobility, or marketplace businesses.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Hands-on experience with Excel or Google Sheets and performance dashboards.
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and fast-paced environments.
• Strong execution and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance fieldwork with analytical responsibilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Interest in mobility, marketplace growth, and operational problem-solving.
• Experience working in Tanzania or similar markets is an added advantage.
