TREASURY MANAGER – DCB COMMERCIAL BANK PLC
DCB Commercial Bank Plc is a fully-fledged retail and commercial bank in Tanzania, providing banking services to individuals, microfinance institutions, small and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs), and large corporate clients.
DCB has a growing branch network of over 8 branches, more than 1,000 DCB Wakala Agents, and over 280 Umoja Switch ATMs, serving more than 3 million customers across Tanzania.
The bank is seeking a qualified and experienced professional to fill the position of Treasury Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for balancing and managing daily cash flow and liquidity within the bank.

Key Responsibilities
The Treasury Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing the bank’s money market activities.
- Forecasting daily cash requirements, executing financing decisions, and monitoring cash flow forecasts through financial modelling.
- Directing, monitoring, and trading investment portfolios, including high-yield investments, Treasury Bills (T-Bills), and other portfolios.
- Managing short-term and long-term investment strategies and ensuring counterparty positions are updated immediately after transactions.
- Evaluating, developing, and implementing cash management systems to improve operational efficiency.
- Evaluating alternative long-term borrowing strategies and making recommendations in line with capital structure guidelines.
- Controlling and preparing Assets and Liabilities Committee (ALCO) reports and returns.
- Managing foreign currency exposure and foreign currency repayments.
- Preparing divisional business plans and budgets and assisting in the preparation of departmental strategic treasury plans and budgets.
- Assisting in setting qualitative and quantitative targets for the strategic treasury business plan and supervising implementation of divisional targets.
- Providing tactical information and recommendations to ALCO to support sound decision-making.
- Monitoring and determining interest-rate risk and other asset/liability risk exposures related to treasury products and bringing significant exposures to management’s attention.
- Maintaining accurate records of the bank’s investment portfolio in the money market.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Applicants should have:
- A University Degree in Economics, Business, or a related field.
- ACL Dealing Certificate.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in managing a treasury function.
- Excellent client management and communication skills.
