1. ICT Teacher

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

Department Leadership: Lead the computing department, taking overall responsibility for the quality, coherence, and progression of computing education across all year groups (Years 1–6).

Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver progressive Cambridge Primary computing lessons for Years 3–6, covering computational thinking, programming, data literacy, networking, robotics, and digital citizenship, with ongoing assessment and feedback.

Extracurricular Clubs: Lead a robotics & STEM club for Years 3–6, delivering hands-on, project-based sessions in electronics, sensors, and programming using kits such as Arduino, LEGO Mindstorms, and mBot. Prepare learners for external competitions while managing equipment for the school community.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science/Information Technology with an ICT/computing specialism, or a closely related STEM field.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of classroom experience teaching Computing or ICT at the primary or lower secondary level.

Certification: A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or national equivalents).

Safeguarding & Budget: Ensure all sports activities meet child protection and health & safety standards.

Strategic Vision: Develop and implement the school’s performing arts and club coordination vision and strategic plan.

Club Oversight: Lead and oversee all clubs across the school, fostering creativity, confidence, and collaboration in learners.

Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging Cambridge Primary and Secondary performing arts lessons covering drama, theatre, and stagecraft, aligned to the relevant curriculum stages.

Productions: Direct and produce school plays, performances, and theatrical productions, managing all aspects from rehearsal to staging.

Assessment: Design assessments, track learner progress, and provide meaningful feedback to support artistic development across all stages.
